The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals is doing its part to bolster supply chain educational resources in China. This June in Tianjin, the organization held its third annual conference on advanced technologies and supply chain management.
The conference drew speakers both from inside China and from around the globe. They included Victor Fung, group chairman of Li & Fung Group; John Mentzer, professor of supply chain management at the University of Tennessee; and Gang Fan, director of the National Economic Research Institute China Reform Foundation.
CSCMP's educational efforts do not end with the annual conference. CSCMP's China roundtable is organizing an educational program on Supply Chain Management Process Standards, which will be taught later this year by Kate Vitasek, creator of the standards, and Charles Guowen Wang of Peking University.
