In the new book The Lean Sustainable Supply Chain: How to Create a Green Infrastructure with Lean Technologies, author Rob Palevich draws from his own experience to offer advice on creating a green supply chain. For more than a decade Palevich worked as a supply chain manager at Do it Best Corp., a member-owned hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry. He's currently a professor at Indiana University Purdue University-Fort Wayne.

Palevich has targeted his book at chief executive officers and managers who want to implement lean and sustainable practices together at their companies. The book offers guidance for redesigning company structure and using technologies to achieve both lean and green benefits. Addressed in the book are such topics as change management, talent, inventory, warehousing, and transportation. He also discusses how to integrate supply chain sustainability into business scorecards.

Published by FT Press Operations Management, a hardcover edition has a list price of $99.99. (ISBN: 0132837617)
