The world is your classroom

Georgia Tech's Executive Masters in International Logistics & Supply Chain Strategy (EMIL-SCS) is not alone in its ability to draw faculty and students from around the world to discuss the challenges and best practices involved in managing a global supply chain. But the university then takes that global concept one step further by also hosting residencies across the world.

During this 18-month program, students attend five, two-week residencies: two on Georgia Tech's campus in Atlanta, Georgia, USA; plus one in Europe, one in Asia, and one in Latin America. This allows participants to experience first-hand the regional influences on global supply chains across several continents. Between residencies, participants work together on case studies and complete Web-based course materials.

Start at the very beginning

CSCMP's "Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management" workshop is where the newcomer to supply chain management can learn what the profession is all about. This interactive workshop covers all aspects of the supply chain, from how to choose a facility location to how to supervise warehouse workers.

Attendees will gain an understanding of all of the components of the supply chain and how they affect the success or failure of the overall business. On a more concrete level, participants will learn time- and money-saving techniques from seasoned supply chain veterans and participate in group discussions based around real-life scenarios.

Are you certifiable?

The University of Tennessee's Integrated Supply Chain certification can help you demonstrate the level of your supply chain knowledge. The certification consists of two core courses: the "Global Supply Chain Executive Development Program" and "Demand Management in the Supply Chain."

The Global Supply Chain Executive Development Program focuses on strategic decisions regarding integrated supply chain planning, operations, and performance measurement. Demand Management in the Supply Chain covers forecasting and demand planning, including best practices for forecasting future demand.

Participants must also take three short courses from among a specified group of elective programs offered by the university's Center for Executive Education and successfully complete an exam or assignment following each one. Courses may be taken in any sequence. CSCMP is a co-sponsor of this certification program.
