Learn supply chain basics from the pros

If you're just starting out in the supply chain field, why "reinvent the wheel" when you can learn time- and money-saving techniques from supply chain veterans instead?

CSCMP's two-day, interactive "Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management" workshop covers all the basics of the supply chain, including transportation, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, warehousing, labor management, and much more. The course also includes opportunities to network with professionals from other industries, learn from others' experiences, and participate in discussions about real-life scenarios.

Master both theory and practice in Belgium

Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School's Executive Master Class in Supply Chain Management combines lectures on the latest supply chain theories with practical instruction on tools and techniques. Students will also have a chance to see best practices in action during company visits.

This year-long course, which meets in the cities of Ghent and Leuven in Belgium, addresses both the strategic and operational issues related to supply chain structure and management. It consists of 11 three-day modules covering such topics as internal logistics, collaboration strategies, lean and agile supply chains, globalization strategies, and purchasing. Key supply chain processes demystified

The Ohio State University's supply chain management executive education program devotes a significant portion of its time to the key supply chain processes, including demand management, supplier and customer relationship management, order fulfillment, and manufacturing flow management. Instructors also explain how to measure the profitability of customers and suppliers, model and map the supply chain, develop metrics, and apply lean thinking to the supply chain.

In addition to lectures, attendees participate in a supply chain exercise and group case work. CSCMP members receive a discount on tuition.
