enVista, a global software, managed services and consulting solutions firm, optimizing and transforming both physical and digital commerce, today announces that leading information technology research and advisory company, Gartner, Inc., has recognized enVista as a Representative Vendor in the 2021 Market Guide for Retail Distributed Order Management Systems.

According to Gartner, “As retailers look to optimize and expand their order fulfillment services, they continue to investigate and invest in distributed order management systems. This research provides chief supply chain officers with insight into the market and available software applications.”

Gartner added, “Most retailers considering a DOM system investment are doing so for the first time, so they face the challenge of implementing brand new technology into their existing systems environment and architecture. All DOM applications are deployable in SaaS or cloud configurations, but the emergence of microservices-based DOM systems enables retailers to incrementally replace service-based modular components of their existing systems and has gained considerable appeal to retailers.”

enVista’s CEO, Jim Barnes, said, “We are extremely honored to be included as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner, Inc. 2021 Market Guide for Retail Distributed Order Management Systems. A cloud-native OMS with omnichannel order orchestration and fulfillment and AI-powered dynamic inventory allocation has never been more critical for agility and profitability. enVista’s agile OMS is helping clients quickly enable optimized omnichannel fulfillment to meet evolving customer demand and accelerate omnichannel transformation for competitive advantage.”

Barnes continued, “enVista’s cloud-native Enspire Commerce Platform is the first and only multi-enterprise Unified Commerce Platform to deliver all omnichannel solutions retailers need on a multi-tenant, microservices-based architecture and integration framework. This enables retailers to integrate a next-gen DOM solution in a matter of only a few months to rapidly deliver customer-centric, unified commerce at fastest time to value.”

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, enVista drove the deployment of Buy Online, Pick up in Store (BOPIS), curbside pickup/click-and-collect, and ship-from-store through its order management system for leading global health and wellness retailer, GNC, transforming the brand’s operations and relieving trapped inventory in just two weeks.

Chadwick Hamby, senior director of global ecommerce operations at GNC, said, “Having an Order Management System (OMS) is making the biggest impact on the retail industry right now. It is giving retailers like GNC the capability to leverage and source all inventory across channels and set tighter rules, balancing cost versus risk and reward. We can truly say that enVista’s OMS has provided us with not only these capabilities, but also the flexibility to pivot quickly and respond during COVID-19. This has made a huge impact to our business success.”

Other leading brands leveraging enVista’s DOM to accelerate unified commerce include American Freight Furniture, FabFitFun, JustFoodForDogs, Saddle Creek Logistics, Spencer’s/Spirit, Titan Brands, Toys ‘R’ Us Canada and many more.

enVista’s Unified Commerce Platform consists of an omnichannel order management system (OMS); omnichannel fulfillment; customer engagement; integration platform as a service (iPaaS); marketplaces; digital commerce; enVista.AI; enVista.BI; and enVista.CX. enVista’s solutions are uniquely delivered as a multi-tenant architecture and integration platform as a service for rapid integration. enVista’s DOM can also be deployed as a stand-alone solution.
