Des Moines, IA (May 13, 2020) – Ruan is excited to welcome Jeff Harpole as a new Vice President of Operations. Jeff will lead national retail and grocery accounts for Ruan.

Jeff brings an extensive and diverse background in transportation and logistics, most recently serving as Vice President, Transportation for Dollar General, where he managed more than $800 million in transportation spend. He worked closely with transportation providers in developing solutions, performance metrics, and pricing approaches. Jeff began his transportation career with Schneider National in 1990, where he had multiple operating roles over the years, ultimately serving as a Global Client Manager in 2002. Jeff’s leadership approach along with his drive to contribute and make a difference will be great complements to Ruan and our continued success.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Jeff to our team. His impressive industry experience will provide great value to our customers and the team members he will lead,” said Ruan President and COO Dan Van Alstine. “While 2020 has clearly challenged our country and certainly our industry, Jeff has risen to the challenge and is proving to be a thoughtful leader and an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”
