The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP’s) Sustainable Supply Chain Selection Committee is now accepting nominations for the First Annual Supply Chain Sustainability Award (SCSA). The committee created the award to honor an individual or a team who exemplify a “significant, positive, and genuine impact in advancing environmental, social, and/or economic sustainability in the supply chain.” It is open to practitioners with responsibilities in functional areas of logistics and supply chain management, consultants, and educators.

Nominees will be evaluated based on six criteria:

  • vision,
  • innovation,
  • impact,
  • execution quality,
  • execution speed, and
  • stakeholder engagement.

When submitting a nomination, please demonstrate why your nominee deserves this honor by providing supporting evidence. You can submit nomination in two categories: Supply Chain Individual/Team or Academic/Researcher.

The Supply Chain Individual or Team category recognizes an individual or cross-functional team that has successfully executed a visionary, innovative development, idea, or program that furthers the area of sustainability. If you nominate a team, the team must include a third party/external partner and no more than five team members in total.

The Academic/Researcher category recognizes an academic or researcher who has contributed to the body of knowledge supporting sustainable supply chains and increased educational resources in sustainability.

All nominations must include:

  • A completed nomination form and supporting, descriptive documentation.
  • A minimum of two letters of recommendation written by members of the logistics and supply chain management professions. Letters of recommendation written by members of current CSCMP Board of Directors and/or members of the CSCMP Sustainable Supply Chain Committee are not admissible.

Current members of CSCMP’s board of directors, sustainable supply chain committee members, individuals who are under contract with CSCMP, CSCMP staff members, and non-CSCMP members are not eligible to receive the SCSA.

It's important to note that awards may not be presented in each category each year and that CSCMP reserves the right to award special recognition in categories other than those listed. An individual or team may self-nominate or be nominated by a third party. Those nominating another individual or team should ensure the nominee(s) is aware they are being nominated. All award recipient(s) must be present at the 2020 EDGE Conference in Orlando, Florida on September 20–23.

Any questions about this nomination form should be directed to Chris Adderton at cadderton@cscmp.org. Nomination submissions must be received here no later than June 15, 2020.
