Healthcare business and data automation firm Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) has acquired technology and analytics provider Lumere, the companies said today. The deal expands Colorado-based GHX's portfolio of solutions for the healthcare industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Chicago-based Lumere provides evidence-based data and analytics solutions that help healthcare organizations build "clinically integrated supply chains," the companies said. GHX provides a range of supply chain tools and services for healthcare providers, manufacturers, and distributors in North America and Europe, including procurement and accounts payable automation, contract and inventory management, vendor credentialing and management, business intelligence, and payment management.
Together, the companies will offer a wider range of tools to help healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations better manage their supply chains.
"By combining the powerful assets of GHX and Lumere, GHX seeks to create the gold standard in data governance, providing a single source of trusted information for the management of devices and drugs used in the delivery of care," GHX said in a press release announcing the deal. "The Lumere acquisition also significantly extends GHX's footprint in the pharmaceutical market, helping health systems more strategically manage the complex area of pharmacy cost."
