The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce selected The Raymond Corporation for its 2019 Corporate Citizen Award. The award recognizes a company that has made significant contributions and commitments to the greater Binghamton area through active involvement with events and community organizations. The award was presented to Raymond at the chamber's 23rd Annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon in Endicott, New York, on Nov. 12.

Raymond, headquartered in Greene, New York, was recognized for providing philanthropic support to more than 150 nonprofit and educational organizations through monetary contributions, forklift donations and volunteer participation. Raymond also hosts several community and education events at its facility to encourage manufacturing industry growth within Broome and Chenango counties, as well as surrounding areas. Each year, Raymond invites local students to attend its Manufacturing Day and Engineering Day events, in which attendees can learn career skills from hands-on activities and Raymond professionals.

"The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce Corporate Citizen Award is a great honor, and we are humbled to be recognized for these philanthropic efforts that are at the core of our company values," said Michael Field, CEO, Raymond. "Every year, we support nonprofit and educational organizations with monetary contributions, forklift donations and voluntary participation in which Raymond associates give their time and talents. We are grateful that we can help support the greater community."

Raymond has a longstanding commitment to the greater Binghamton area and has been a proud partner for many years to local organizations that support causes ranging from disability and chronic disease to the arts and sciences.
