LONG BEACH, Calif. — Mike Wilson, CEO of Consolidated Chassis Management received the Silver Kingpin Award at IANA's Intermodal Expo 2019 on September 16. Mr. Wilson received this award along with Steve Branscum, retired group vice president of BNSF Railway.

This award was presented by Kevin Lhotak, Chairman of IANA and President of Reliable Transportation Specialists, Inc. The award recognizes an individual's long-term contributions to intermodal freight movement.

Mr. Wilson was named CEO of CCM in April. Prior to assuming the role, he had been a member of the CCM board of managers and an officer of its parent company, OCEMA, since 2010. He has also served as board chairman and vice chairman of IANA.

Mr. Wilson said told the crowd: "I have found that successful negotiation and collaboration always involve leaders who not only hear, but honestly and respectfully listen to what others have to say. This has been the hallmark of IANA over the last forty years."

When speaking to the value IANA brings to the industry, Mr. Wilson said: "IANA creates a forum whereby industry leaders across the modal and functional spectrum can gather, share thoughts and work out differences. This allows us all to address key issues challenging the industry today, and more importantly, tomorrow. This is the approach that will lead to a stronger and more resilient Intermodal Industry; one that will serve our companies and this country well, one that attracts future leaders, and, one that we can all be proud of."

Before joining CCM, Mr. Wilson was Senior Vice President, Business Operations at Hamburg Süd North America. Over his nearly 40-year career, he has held leadership positions at United States Lines, Crowley Maritime, United Arab Shipping and Atlantic Container Line. He began his career in transportation working the docks in New Jersey.
