Cimcorp Presents How Automation Can Improve Ergonomics and Employee Safety in the Warehouse

GRIMSBY, Ontario—Aug. 13, 2019—Cimcorp, a manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic order fulfillment and tire-handling solutions, announces the release of its latest white paper, "Safe and sound through automation." The white paper discusses how manual order fulfillment—particularly in times of labor shortage—results in warehouse staff having to work harder and faster, raising their risks for on-the-job injury and long-term physical harm. According to Cimcorp, automation can eliminate these ergonomic hazards and optimize facilities to run better and safer operations year-round.

Available now, the Cimcorp white paper covers:
- The ergonomic challenges and dangers of manual handling
- Global regulations designed to address work conditions in warehousing
- The benefits of automation for improving efficiency, order accuracy and safety
- How automating creates more modern facilities aligned with Industry 4.0
- The next generation of warehouse workers

Rick Trigatti, President, Cimcorp Automation Ltd., said, "In traditional warehouses, manual order picking in some cases can subject the human body to strenuous, repetitive tasks and heavy lifting. The inherent health and safety risks often make careers in warehousing less appealing to jobseekers and create difficulties with retaining employees. What automation can do is alleviate staff from the physical burden of distribution and elevate them into new technical and supervisory roles. In effect, automated systems not only fill the operational gaps left by widespread labor shortages, but also protect current employees with more fulfilling, tech-driven positions."

For more on how automation can solve the health and safety challenges facing today's warehouses, download the full white paper, "Safe and sound through automation," on the Cimcorp website.
