Raymond Recognizes Engineers for 22 Patents by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

August 2, 2019
No Comments

The Raymond Corporation is recognizing its engineers for their contributions to 22 patents awarded by the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 2016. The patents, ranging from design to utility patents, were granted to engineers from Raymond's headquarters in Greene, New York, and its facility in Muscatine, Iowa.

"Raymond has a long history of innovation, beginning in 1939 with the double-faced wooden pallet and hydraulic hand pallet truck patents — developed to be used together as a complete material handling solution," said Michael Field, CEO, Raymond. "Raymond's continued path of innovation is reliant on our skilled engineers who create these intelligent intralogistics solutions that embody our philosophy of continuous improvement. All 22 of these patents represent the commitment our engineers have to providing customers with the solutions that will transform their operations and maximize productivity and efficiency."

Raymond held a recognition event at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich, New York, on June 28, 2019, to induct 22 engineers into the Raymond Inventors Club. Established more than 25 years ago, the honorary group is made up of 52 members, including Raymond employees and retirees, all of whom have been awarded patents throughout the years.

Keynote speaker David A. Borkholder, Bausch and Lomb professor of microsystems engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology, spoke on the importance of innovative engineering and technology trends that can transform lives.

Raymond currently has 47 patents pending with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
