MHS to showcase turnkey automation solutions, robotics at ProMat 2019

MT. WASHINGTON, Ky. (March 28, 2019) - MHS (www.mhsglobal.com) is coming to ProMat, the largest supply chain expo in North and South America, from April 8-11 at Chicago's McCormick Place. In booth #N6539, the company will highlight its capabilities as a complete, single-source provider of automated material handling systems, and showcase its latest robotic innovation - a singulation system to automate the sorter induction process.

In the past two years, MHS has made several key acquisitions of controls, software and equipment providers, including Atronix, VanRiet, OCM and others to expand capacity, product offering, and research and development capability. The company has an extensive presence throughout North America and Europe, and offers access to sortation, conveyor, storage and retrieval, order fulfillment, software, maintenance and other solutions.

"As we celebrate significant growth and expansion, our commitment to going above and beyond for our customers remains as high as ever," says Rush Fullerton, vice president, MHS. "We are well-positioned to serve the needs of distribution center projects of all sizes, and ProMat is the perfect place to showcase that."

The ProMat booth demonstration features a virtual reality experience that invites attendees to compete against the company's latest robotic innovation. The robotic solution automates the sorter induction process by using a combination of advanced computer vision, controls, gripping technology and a five-axis delta robot to pick items from bulk flow and properly orient them in a single-file stream for downstream processes.

In addition, company representatives will be on-site to discuss the rest of the MHS portfolio, including Lifecycle Performance Services (LPS). LPS is the compan'ys aftermarket support group, offering a variety of solutions and services to keep automated systems running at peak efficiency, including upgrades and modifications, supply and management of OEM parts, remote asset monitoring, predictive maintenance and more.
