April 29, 2019 (Dallas, TX) - Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, today announced the appointment of David Marsh as chief operating officer of Celtic Intermodal, the company's intermodal business unit. Marsh will help oversee Celtic's daily customer service, operations and design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures to cultivate customer relationships and drive sustainable growth. He will report directly to Celtic Intermodal President Doug Punzel.

"David has extensive experience leading sales, operations and supply chain management organizations and has a successful track record of supporting company growth, creating customer-focused solutions and improving customer satisfaction," said Frank McGuigan, CEO, Transplace. "He joins an outstanding team and his experience and leadership will help strengthen our intermodal business."

David comes to Transplace from Hub Group, where he held multiple leadership positions, including chief supply chain officer, chief marketing officer and president of Hub Group Ohio and Hub Group Detroit. Punzel added, "In today's challenging transportation market, with fluctuating capacity and rates, more and more shippers are looking to integrate intermodal into their transportation operations.
