Command Alkon VP Marketing, Ed Rusch, Named to Forbes Communication Council

Birmingham, AL - January 22, 2019 - Command Alkon, the leading Supplier Collaboration Platform for Construction's Heavy Work, announces that Vice President of Marketing, Ed Rusch, has been accepted into membership to the Forbes Communication Council, an invitation-only community for executives in communications, marketing, and public relations.

Forbes Council Members are selected based on their depth and diversity of experience. Ed was selected to join because of his proficiency in taking complex software, technology, and supply chain business concepts and distilling them into ah-ha moments, actionable insights, and value-based outcomes for all stakeholders. With membership, executives can publish thought-leadership articles on Forbes.com.

"I am honored to have been accepted onto this prestigious platform where I'm equipped with many amazing learning opportunities from innovative leaders in marketing and communications," said Ed Rusch, VP of Marketing at Command Alkon. "I'm eager to share insights and successes with the Forbes Communications Council, where together we will make a greater impact."

Recently, Ed recognized that the construction industry, the world's second largest, needed to rethink current practices to unstick longstanding productivity levels and grow competencies in end-to-end building material visibility, traceability, and sustainability. Success necessitates that a highly interdependent group of contractors, bulk material suppliers, logistics service providers, jobsite inspectors, project owners, and more come together to create a movement and thrive together in today's digital age. Clear, crisp and coherent communications across members of this vibrant business-to-business (B2B) community are key; compelling action and driving successes.

Prior to Command Alkon, Ed worked as Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Elemica, the leading digital supply chain network for industrial process manufacturers. Prior to Elemica, Ed held senior-level executive marketing and sales roles in healthcare and telecommunications. Ed graduated with a BA in Communications from John Carroll University.

Forbes Councils combine an innovative, high-touch approach to community management perfected by the team behind Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) with the extensive resources and global reach of Forbes. As a result, Forbes Council members get access to the people, benefits and expertise they need to grow their businesses — and a dedicated member concierge who acts as an extension of their own team, providing personalized one-on-one support.
