VARGO® team member promoted to lead quality assurance engineer

HILLIARD, Ohio (November 20, 2018) — VARGO®, a leading provider of material-handling systems integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution centers, has promoted Abid al-Ikashi to lead quality assurance engineer.

Al-Ikashi will plan, coordinate and perform quality assurance processes for new features, enhancements, bug fixes and installations for all VARGO® solutions. He will develop testing tools and processes, lead customer support and installations, and also provide onsite support to VARGO® customers.

"Abid has proven himself as a valuable and hardworking employee during his time with VARGO®," said Bart Cera, CFO and COO. "We are confident he will continue to play a major role in ensuring VARGO® customers are receiving the highest quality service and support."

Al-Ikashi joined VARGO® in 2017 as a software engineer and worked as an onsite support technician, focusing on quality assurance and product testing. Prior to that, he worked as an application developer at a Grove City company and as an IT manager and programmer at a company in Baghdad, Iraq.

Al-Ikashi grew up in Baghdad, Iraq, where he graduated from Al Mansour University College with a Bachelor of Science in software engineering. Al-Ikashi also holds the Cisco Certified Network Association (CCNA) levels on and two Industrial certifications from Cisco. He is a member of Central Ohio GameDev Group for aspiring video game developers, and he is a lead game developer for Wild Beard Games, LLC, an independent game development company.
