Command Alkon Pledges Dollar for Dollar Match Commitment for Ready-Mix Concrete Foundation $9M Goal

Birmingham, AL - November 06, 2018 - Command Alkon, the global leader in integrated supply chain technology solutions for the Heavy Building Materials industry, has made a commitment to match dollar for dollar any new donations made to achieve a $9M fundraising goal to fully leverage the Troesh Matching Gift Campaign and ensure the Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) Research & Education Foundation as a lasting resource for investment in industry research and education. The organization funds programs that promote sustainability in concrete and construction practices, ensures the health and safety of professionals, increases quality and durability of concrete, and recruits and trains professionals in the concrete and construction industries.

Two years ago, the Troesh Family Foundation promised to give up to $3M to the Foundation as long as the industry raised 3x that amount, equaling an additional $9M. The combined $12M goal will help fund the Foundation's endowment at current spending levels, forever.

"It's an honor to help the RMC Research & Education Foundation's goal of achieving a 3:1 match in contributions from our industry," said Phil Ramsey, CEO of Command Alkon. "We stand behind their mission of increasing quality, professionalism and sustainability in the ready mixed concrete industry, and we are happy to support their efforts."

Currently the RMC Research & Education Foundation has received $8.8M in commitments. Command Alkon has stepped up to help the organization meet the remaining $200K needed through a dollar for dollar match on any new donations. Once achieved, the $3M match from the Troesh Family Foundation is secured.

"We are extremely grateful for the Troesh Family Foundation's generous gift, and for Command Alkon's commitment to help us fully leverage it," said Julie Garbini, RMC Research & Education Foundation Executive Director. "With a fully funded endowment, it will be possible to continue to invest in fundamental industry research and education now and for future generations to come."

To donate to the Foundation, you can download a pledge form here, or make a one-time contribution securely via credit card here. As a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization, all contributions to the Foundation are fully tax-deductible in the U.S. Pledges can be paid over time (most are paid over five years), but they are recognized in full at the time they are made for both the matches and in our recognition materials.

"Please take advantage of this limited opportunity to double the value of your contributions via Command Alkon's match contribution," added Garbini.

For questions or more information, contact Julie Garbini at jgarbini@rmc-foundation.org or 703-338-8647.
