GRIMSBY, Ontario—June 25, 2018—Cimcorp, a manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic gantry-based order fulfillment and tire-handling solutions, has been named a 2018 SDCE 100 Top Supply Chain Project winner by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The annual list showcases projects that exemplify supply chain excellence and serve as a map for executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. Cimcorp was recognized for helping Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.® address seasonal challenges and optimize order fulfillment and distribution in its headquarters' warehouse using the MultiPick robotic material handling solution.

"First and foremost, we want to congratulate the winners of this year's Top 100 for their successful and innovative projects, which serve as models to companies of all sizes what is achievable in their supply chains," said John Yuva, Editor, Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "Regardless of company size, these projects are best-in-class examples of the types of efficiencies and bottom-line results that supply chain executives should be striving toward in their own operations. Our 2018 winners provide a roadmap for how to get there."

Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.® faced major distribution challenges during its summer peak season. Its manual picking operations resulted in order errors, inefficiency and a higher risk of injury for staff. The facility also struggled with space constraints due to a greater volume of goods and the influx of seasonal employees. By automating its operations with the Cimcorp MultiPick solution, combined with a high-density automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) provided by Westfalia Technologies, Inc., the leading bakery has been able to gain greater efficiency, improve space utilization and eliminate safety risks.

Rick Trigatti, President, Cimcorp North America, said, "We are honored to be named to the 2018 SDCE 100 list for our work with Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.®. Manual warehouses and distribution centers in any industry can easily fall behind as they struggle to accommodate order spikes, rapidly increasing SKU quantities and greater customer demands during peak periods. Cimcorp's automated technology can help companies overcome these challenges and optimize material flow. Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.® now experiences fewer picking errors, enhanced traceability of its products and faster picking-during seasonal spikes and year round."

The full list of 2018 SDCE 100 winners is available on SDCExec.com and in the June issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.
