Birmingham, AL - May 11, 2018 - Command Alkon, the global leader in integrated supply chain technology solutions for the Heavy Building Materials industry, has been named by the Birmingham Business Journal a Best Places to Work in 2018. Command Alkon ranked in the top 10 in their category. The 13th annual Birmingham's Best Places to Work awards recognize employers in the Birmingham area that have gone above and beyond to create outstanding workplace environments.

"Command Alkon is honored to be named as a Best Places to Work for the third year in a row," said Scott Baker, Vice President of People at Command Alkon. "Our employees are making a positive impact every day in our industry by developing innovative technologies, supporting our customers, and working together to continue to grow the company."

"We had a tremendous amount of companies apply to participate in Best Places to Work this year, so this year's winners truly represent the cream of the crop," said Ty West, editor-in-chief of the Birmingham Business Journal. "Given the low unemployment rate and evolving labor pool, the battle for talent is fierce. We were impressed with the unique and innovative ways this year's Best Places to Work are separating themselves from the pack."

Companies are named Best Places to Work based on their results in a free workplace survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, one of the nation's premier research companies. Employees were asked to evaluate the company in these areas: Communication and Resources,
Individual Needs, Manager Effectiveness, Personal Engagement, Team Dynamics and Trust in Leadership. This year's rock-star themed Best Places to Work event was held May 10 at The Club in Birmingham, where companies learn where they rank in their size category.
