Every year the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) hosts its EDGE Supply Chain Conference and Exhibition, an event that focuses on education, thought leadership, and innovations within the supply chain management industry. This year, the conference will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, from September 15-18.
Attendees will benefit from leading-edge thought leadership and research during three information-packed days. The conference will host 100 sessions covering real-world strategies for maximizing and transforming supply chains. Those in attendance will learn from academics and practitioners and hear dynamic speakers and industry experts. In addition, the Supply Chain Exchange Exhibition will allow attendees to experience the latest in supply chain technologies up close and personal.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn in a mix of traditional and nontraditional settings, including workshops, roundtable discussions, and interactive simulations. Sessions topics are divided into three main knowledge levels: foundational, applied, and strategic. The level applies to the recommended prerequisite knowledge of the topic rather than an attendee's specific position level in his or her organization.
Foundational-level sessions will focus on broad information, awareness, and understanding of a topic and will not require prior knowledge or experience of the subject. Applied knowledge sessions will center on extensive application, comprehension, and implementation of a supply chain concept with in-depth material or explanation by the session leader. Strategic sessions are designed for senior-level executives and officers with significant expertise, knowledge, and experience in supply chain management. These sessions will focus on highly technical or detailed topics.
The sessions are organized into 20 different educational tracks, which focus on topics such as emerging trends, global supply chain, integrated supply chain management, integrated supply chain management and finance, and warehousing.
CSCMP has negotiated discounted rates at the Anaheim Marriott and the Hilton Anaheim for this year's EDGE 2019 Conference. Both hotels are located within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Center. Rooms are available to registered EDGE attendees on a first come, first served basis.
