Pacejet Shipping Software and Single Source Systems partner to support logistics platform

Pacejet Shipping Software and Single Source Systems said today that they are partnering to increase their investment in the logistics capabilities of Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI), an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for mid-market manufacturers.

Columbus, Ohio-based Pacejet, which makes shipping software, and Fishers, Ind.-based Single Source, which provides software development and support for industrial manufacturers, are both partners of business software giant Infor. New York-based Infor is holding its annual Inforum user conference this week in Washington, D.C.

As a result of the two firms' commitment, Pacejet will expand its cloud-based enterprise shipping platform for the packing, quoting, booking, and tracking of shipments. Pacejet's platform delivers a single connection to a large network of parcel, less than truckload (LTL), and third part logistics (3PL) carriers. It also includes rate shopping, carrier performance analytics, and freight auditing services.

"Through our partnership, CSI customers can reduce freight spend through carrier choice and visibility on shipments. We will also introduce automation that eliminates manual steps, reduces errors, and improves throughput, which is very important for our customers," Pacejet President Larry DeLeon said in a statement.

Also as part of the expanded partnership, Single Source will assume the support and future roadmap deliverables for Pacejet's legacy, on-premise pick, pack, and ship solution, known as "SyteLine Shipping and Logistics." Pacejet had previously announced it would cease to support that software platform after next year, but the partnership will now extend SyteLine "well beyond 2019," the firms said.

In addition, Single Source is planning a logistics module that will enable customers to have features such as including load planning and routing and advanced pick and pack options while leveraging Pacejet Cloud.
