Do you know a prominent supply chain professional who has made significant contributions to the logistics and supply chain management disciplines? Every year since 1965, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has recognized an outstanding individual in the field of supply chain management with its Distinguished Service Award.

Eligible nominees for the 2018 Distinguished Service Award can include practitioners with responsibilities in functional areas of logistics and supply chain management, consultants, and educators.

Nominees will be evaluated based on the following five elements:

  • A sustained and distinguished record of contribution to the disciplines of logistics and supply chain management
  • Contributions above the normal expectations of the job
  • Recognition as a leader in logistics or supply chain management
  • Recognition as an innovator in logistics or supply chain management
  • Education of the logistics and supply chain management profession (both orally and written)

The 2017 winner was Dr. Nancy Nix, executive director of AWESOME (Achieving Women's Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education). Her willingness to explore new opportunities and use her experience to help others traveling their own career path were among several reasons why Nix was honored last year. The 2018 winner will be recognized on stage at the CSCMP EDGE conference during the Monday morning opening session on October 1, 2018.

To nominate a candidate, download the DSA nomination form here and send the completed form to Sue Paulson spaulson@cscmp.org by April 30, 2018.
