In the Internet Age, when so much information is readily available online, you might wonder whether professional societies and industry organizations still matter. According to members of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the answer is most definitely "yes."

In "Connect to Supply Chain's #1 Community," a new video from CSCMP, members representing diverse levels of experience, titles, and businesses explain why membership matters to them. From a recent college graduate working for a third-party logistics company, to a high-level executive with an industrial real estate firm, to a supply chain project manager at a national hardware retailer, members talk about why being active in CSCMP matters not just to them but also to their companies. To round out their perspective, CSCMP President and CEO Rick Blasgen adds his take on the organization's educational and networking offerings.

The video is available in the "Meet a Member" section of CSCMP's homepage or below. The video was produced by Supply Chain Media LLC, a joint venture of AGiLE Business Media and CSCMP.
