CSCMP's Supply Chain Quarterly won an award for Editor Toby Gooley's editorial column from a national media association.

ASBPE, a U.S.-based association for business publication editors, has presented CSCMP's Supply Chain Quarterly Editor Toby Gooley with a bronze regional award in the editorial/editor's letter category of its annual Azbee Awards of Excellence program.

Gooley won for her columns "The high cost of not caring" from the Q3 2015 issue and "As you rise, you must lift" from the Q4 2015 issue.

ASBPE is a professional association for full-time and freelance editors, writers, art directors, and designers employed in the business, trade, and specialty press. Its Azbee Awards of Excellence program recognizes outstanding work by magazines, newsletters, and digital media.

Gooley is a veteran business journalist with more than 25 years of experience covering the logistics and supply chain markets. She became editor of Supply Chain Quarterly in 2014 after serving as its managing editor since its launch in 2007. Prior to joining The Quarterly, Gooley spent 20 years at Logistics Management magazine covering international trade and transportation as senior editor and managing editor.

The Quarterly's sister publication, DC Velocity, also picked up three regional bronze awards. Executive Editor-News Mark Solomon was recognized for two articles about challenges facing U.S. West Coast ports: "Regrets, recriminations, diversions: The Legacy of bad times at West Coast ports" and "Now comes the hard part." Additionally, DC Velocity won an award for its "Newsworthy" section, a monthly compilation of news stories written by Solomon and Senior Editor Ben Ames.
