New book examines the state of logistics in China

A new publication from the Logistics Center at Nankai University outlines the current state of China's transportation infrastructure and logistics industry and considers future developments.

The state of China's transportation and logistics scene is a far cry from what it was a decade ago, and the rapid pace of change is expected to continue for years to come. Contemporary Logistics in China: Consolidation and Deepening, a new book from the Logistics Center at Nankai University, can help explain recent developments and where the country's infrastructure and logistics industry is headed.

Authored by Bing-lian Liu, Shao-ju Lee, Ling Wang, Xiang Li, and Jian-hua Xiao, the book is the third edition in the Logistics Center's English-language "Contemporary Logistics in China" series.

The book offers a compendium of statistics about logistics and transportation activities in China. It describes the country's logistics markets, its transportation infrastructure, and the nation's logistics policies. It also discusses the Chinese government's plans for transforming and strengthening the logistics industry in China.

The 240-page Contemporary Logistics in China: Consolidation and Deepening is published by Springer and sells for US $129 in hardcover.
