SCPro Bridge Exam offered at annual conference

Comment
For the first time, attendees of CSCMP's EDGE Conference can take the SCPro Bridge certification exam. The proctored exam will be held on Monday, October 1, at 10:30 a.m.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) will offer this year's EDGE attendees the opportunity to take the SCPro Bridge exam. Launched last year, the bridge exam is designed for experienced supply chain professionals who want to earn CSCMP's Level One certification. This exam is a shorter, less expensive test than the traditional four-hour Level One certification exam it replaces, allowing candidates who currently hold professional credentials or certification from an accredited association and have a baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited four-year university or college or four years of relevant supply chain management experience to achieve the Level One certification.

Several years ago, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) launched a three-tiered SCPro Certification program. The program, developed in partnership with supply chain experts, features up-to-date industry intelligence and virtual technology that helps supply chain professionals verify the interpersonal, managerial, and technical skills needed to succeed in their careers. In order to reach more professionals, CSCMP is offering the 90-minute proctored SCPro Bridge exam during its EDGE annual conference, which is expected to draw more than 3,000 supply chain leaders.

A bridge exam review session will be held by Brian Gibson, supply chain professor and research center director at Auburn University, on Sunday, September 30, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Professor Gibson will lead participants through a review of the information covered on the bridge exam and answer any questions about the exam.

Conference attendees can choose from three bundle purchase options:

  • SCPro Bridge exam and review session only;
  • SCPro Bridge exam, review session, and preparation materials; and
  • SCPro Bridge exam, review session, preparation materials, and prepay the SCPro Level Two exams. The Level Two exams will not be offered at the EDGE conference but will instead be administered virtually at a future date.

The Level One exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions that cover eight cornerstones of supply chain management: supply chain concepts, demand and supply integration, supply management and procurement, manufacturing and service operations, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment and customer service.

To apply to take the SCPro Bridge exam at the EDGE conference, please visit the CSCMP website.
