The organization's Emerging Leader Award honors outstanding supply chain and logistics management professionals under the age of 30.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) announced today that it will present its 2016 Emerging Leader Award to Diego de la Garza, senior project manager at Source One Management; Brian Jacobson, manager at C.H. Robinson; and Paul Rohrbaugh, president of Sterling Simulation. CSCMP created the Emerging Leader Award to recognize outstanding supply chain management and logistics professionals age 30 and under for their contributions to, and future influence on, the profession.

De la Garza is an associate director at Source One Management Services, a provider of procurement services. He manages the company's Chicago operations and leads its Nearshoring Advisory Practice, which he developed from the ground up. De la Garza's category experience includes direct materials, logistics, industrial supplies, information technology, professional services, and facilities for industries including manufacturing, technology, pharmaceuticals, and financial services.

Jacobson currently serves in a dual role for the third-party logistics company C.H. Robinson, working as strategic account manager while also managing the company's Global Accounts Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He has worked on many customer projects, focusing on solution design, network optimization, transportation management, and merger integrations.

Rohrbaugh co-founded the simulation consulting and training company Sterling Simulation at the age of 26, after working as a process improvement consultant at PepsiCo. He has been involved in CSCMP since 2010 and has served as Young Professionals chair for his local CSCMP roundtable, member of the national Young Professionals board subcommittee, and volunteer team captain for the CSCMP Annual Conference Student Assistance Committee.

The winners will be honored during the opening general session of CSCMP's Annual Conference on September 26, 2016, in Orlando, Florida.
