CSCMP names nominees for board of directors

Comment
Mary Long, vice president of logistics and network planning for Domino's Pizza, will become the 53rd chair. Long currently holds the position of chair-elect.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has announced the slate of officers for its board of directors selected by its nominating committee. Members will vote on the nominations at the organization's annual conference and business meeting in September.

Incumbent chair-elect, Mary Long, vice president of logistics and network planning, Domino's Pizza, is set to become the 53rd chair of CSCMP's board of directors. Kevin F. Smith, who currently holds that position, will continue to serve during the 2016-2017 term as past chair of the board.

Remko van Hoek, visiting professor at Cranfield School of Management and former senior vice president of sourcing and procurement at The Walt Disney Co., will become chair-elect. Mark Baxa, director of global procurement strategy for Monsanto, will become vice chair, and Michelle Meyer, director of advisory services for the consulting company PwC, will become secretary/treasurer.

The slate of officers is selected by CSCMP's nominating committee; the officers are voted into office and installed at the organization's annual business meeting, which is held in conjunction with CSCMP's Annual Conference. This year's annual business meeting is scheduled for September 27, 2016, at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. All new officers and members of CSCMP's Board of Directors will officially assume their responsibilities at the annual December meeting of the board of directors.

Members of CSCMP may make additional nominations, which must be submitted in writing to the nominating committee. All nominations, seconds, and confirmations for prospective nominees should be sent to Jim Schulze, director of operations, at jschulze@cscmp.org.
